Hi Miroslav; .10 mm. is a good compromise. My OEM Manual says .08 to .13 for intake and exhaust.
Everytime I check mine, I have to bend the gauge to get it in and under the adjuster. I think the best thing you can do is get the tip of it in there and make sure the adjuster is tight. One thing the book says is; "Both the right and left valve clearances should be as closely set as possible." It also cautions to make sure the automatic decompression adjuster is set correctly after every valve adjustment. Frank M.
